I am a nearly retired physician. I am board certified in anesthesiology. In 2004, I finished an MBA which I had pursued, generally one course at a time over a number of years. I have visited many foreign countries as a merchant marine officer prior to studying medicine in French in Europe where I lived for seven years.

I grew up in a home where Democrat was a bad word. I think that anyone who states that they are Liberal or Conservative is really saying “I have made up my mind and don’t confuse me with facts” Neither Conservatives nor Liberals have a monopoly on the truth or all the answers. We need them both to keep each other honest.

I voted for GHW Bush (the Elder) in 1988 and I think that he was a good, competent President.I think that Jeb Bush is very intellegent and was a capable Governor of Florida. Based on his participation in PNAC, I have some very strong reservations about his politics.

I have been accused of being a “Bush Hater” which implies that I have some irrational, inappropriate hatred of GW Bush.I do not hate the man but I do hate the things that are being done in his name. I can give well documented reasons why I think that GW Bush was totally unqualified to be President and has been a disaster in that post. I think that supporters of GW Bush have an irrational , inappropriate love for G.W. Bush.

I feel strongly that what constitutes US Iraq policy now is at best symptomatic and palliative treatment. Radical surgery is required and partition of Iraq is the only curative treatment that I can see.

As someone who has earned a living as a navigator it is my opinion that the “Stay the course” policy of the present administration violates basically all the rules of navigation.

As a physician, it is my opinion that radical surgery is required in Iraq.

Thanks for your vote of confidence

I AM right occasionally it seems. It was very clear to me the the Iraq invasion was the wrong thing to do. How could so many people been so wrong?

Edwards was on the Intelligence committee whose Chairman was Sen. Bob Graham who was strongly against the war.

I questions Hillary’s judgement in voting for the war and she may be so polarizing as to be unelectable.

Obama and Gore were the only 2 promenant Democrats who were clearly against the war (Maybe Wesley Clark).

    Richardson seems clearly qualified.

Gore’s book is doing well and maybe if he wins the Nobel Peace Prize……

Gore is my choice and has been for a long time.
Anyone who has seen him on Leno, Letterman et al knows that he is smart, witty and cool on those same shows where Dubya has come off looking like Mortimer Snerd.
